Report: Netflix Close to Ordering “Full House” Spin-off

ABC Photo Archives/ABC via Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Is Full House is making a comeback? As Uncle Jesse would say, “Have mercy!”

A spin-off of the popular sitcom appears to be headed to Netflix. TVLine.com reports the streaming service is close to ordering 13 episodes of a series titled Fuller House that would find original cast members Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber reprising their roles of D.J. Tanner and her best friend/neighbor, Kimmy Gibbler.

John Stamos, a.k.a. Uncle Jesse, will produce and possibly guest star on the show. His Full House co-stars Bob Saget and Dave Coulier could make cameos, too.

TVLine.com doesn’t mention whether Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate Olsen or Ashley Olsen will have any involvement in the spin-off. Sweetin played the middle daughter in the Tanner family, Stephanie, and the Olsens split the role of D.J. and Stephanie’s younger sister, Michelle.

Full House aired for eight seasons on ABC, from 1987 to 1995.
