“General Hospital” Leads Daytime Emmy Nominees

Photo by Marc Bryan-Brown/WireImage(NEW YORK) — General Hospital overtook The Young and the Restless to lead in nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards, announced Tuesday.

The long-running ABC soap received 28 nods, followed by CBS’ The Young and the Restless, which led in nods for the two years prior. This year, it received 25 nominations.

CBS topped all networks with a total of 62 nominations, followed by PBS with 50 and ABC with 35.

The 42nd annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be held April 26 at the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California.
