“Insurgent,” “The Gunman,” “Do You Believe?” Open Friday

“The Gunman” – Open Road Films(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:

The Divergent Series: Insurgent — In the second film in the franchise, Shailene Woodley’s Tris and her allies are on the run from the villainous Jeanine, played by Kate Winslet. Theo James, Octavia Spencer, Jai Courtney, Zoë Kravitz, Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q and Mekhi Phifer also star in the sequel, which is screening in 3D and in IMAX theaters. Rated PG-13.

The Gunman
— Sean Penn is a former special-ops agent who becomes the target of hit men, and he’s not sure why. Javier Bardem, Idris Elba and Ray Winstone also star. Rated R.

Do You Believe? — The faith-based film follows several people as their lives intersect, including a pastor who is “shaken to the core” by a street preacher. Mira Sorvino, Sean Astin, Cybill Shepherd, Lee Majors and Ted McGinley star. Rated PG-13.
