Will Ferrell Opens Up About Fatherhood with Three Boys

Jeffrey R. Staab/CBS(LOS ANGELES) — Will Ferrell is one of the funniest men on the planet, but when it comes to raising his three sons, he’s got to be a bit tougher.

“I sometimes equate it to what it must be like running a prison,” he joked to People magazine about his house with sons — Magnus, 11, Mattias, 8, and Axel, 5.

Ferrell, 47, has been married for the past 15 years and said there’s a lot of yelling in his home with three rambunctious boys.

“What happens with three boys is you end up barking out orders like, ‘Upstairs now!’ ‘Brush teeth!’ ‘Lights out!’” he added. “There is so much chaos you can’t really take the time to articulate.”

But in the end, Ferrell wouldn’t have it any other way.

“[When] I lose my temper and I really become a dad, I often think, oh, if anyone was a fly on the wall, they’d be like, ‘Will Ferrell is not a funny father!'” he said.
