The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star will host the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 20. It will air live from coast to coast on the network that broadcasts his show, Fox.

Samberg joked in a statement, “Buckle your seat belts, Emmy viewers! Like, in general you should buckle your seat belts in your car. In fact, even if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should buckle your seat belt. It can be dangerous on the road. Also, if you’re not an Emmy viewer, you should strongly consider becoming one this year, because I’m hosting, and it’s gonna be a wild ride. So buckle your seat belts.”

Last year’s Emmys ceremony was hosted by another Saturday Night Live alum, Seth Meyers.

The nominations for the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will be announced on July 16.
