The announcement of the unprecedented simultaneous premiere comes one day after HBO announced its standalone streaming service, HBO Now, would launch in April. “We are thrilled to see our international partners jumping on board to bring Game of Thrones, one of the most universally loved television shows in the world, to global audiences at the same time it airs on HBO in the U.S.,” HBO’s President of Programming Michael Lombardo said.

By airing the show simultaneously, viewers around the world won’t have to worry about spoilers. Unless, of course, they know someone who’s read the books.
