Jamie Dornan Leaving “Fifty Shades” Franchise Because of His Wife?

“Fifty Shades of Grey” – Universal(NEW YORK) — Is Jamie Dornan submitting to his wife and declining to star in a Fifty Shades of Grey sequel?

No, says the actor’s rep, who tells E! News, “All press reports are pure conjecture as the studio has not committed to a sequel as yet.”

Reportedly, the Australian magazine NW is claiming that Dornan won’t appear in a follow-up to the box office hit because his wife, Amelia Warner, is uncomfortable with the racy nature of the series.

Dornan and his co-star, Dakota Johnson, are under contract for any potential sequels.

In response to the reports that Dornan might be leaving the Fifty Shades franchise, the actor has released a statement to the contrary.

“Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film,” his rep told ABC News.

Fifty Shades of Grey has topped the box office the past two weekends, earning a total of $129 million through Sunday.
