“Fifty Shades” Dominates Box Office

“Fifty Shades of Grey” – Focus Features(NEW YORK) — Fifty Shades of Grey dominated the box office this weekend, beating out Kingsman: The Secret Service to claim the top spot.

The film, based on the best-selling erotic novel by E.L. James, opened in time for Valentine’s Day weekend, bringing in over $80 million. Kingsman, an adaptation of the comic book series The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine came in second place, holding off The SpongeBob Movie.
