Rosie O'Donnell Says Goodbye to “The View” Again

ABC/Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) — Rosie O’Donnell said goodbye to The View Thursday, for the second time.

The comedian and actress was welcomed to the Hot Topics table for her final show as the audience chanted her name: “Rosie! Rosie!”

Later, when guest Kenan Thompson from Saturday Night Live asked if she’d consider coming back, O’Donnell replied, “Maybe, maybe.”

O’Donnell says she’s leaving The View due to stress from her personal life — she recently split from her wife of more than two years, Michelle Rounds.

O’Donnell’s rep told ABC News Radio previously, “Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave The View.”

During the final moment of Thursday’s broadcast, O’Donnell addressed the viewers: “I just want to say thank you to all the cast here and the crew and mostly to Barbara Walters, who has always looked out for me in my life and career, and is an amazing woman. We had lunch yesterday and she sends her love. And I want to thank her for making this show and letting me be on it twice.”

“We’ve had fun and I hope we’re gonna have more and I’ll come back and do an occasional crafting segment because I have a hot glue gun and I will travel,” she quipped.

O’Donnell first left The View in 2007. She returned last September for the launch of the show’s 18th season, along with new co-hosts Nicole Wallace and Rosie Perez, as well as returning moderator Whoopi Goldberg.

There’s no word yet on who will replace O’Donnell.
