Captain America, Star-Lord to Team Up for Kids After Super Bowl Bet

ABC/Randy Holmes / ABC/Adam Taylor(NEW YORK) — With the New England Patriots besting the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday night’s Super Bowl, Captain America is raising his mighty shield in victory.

Boston-born Chris Evans, who plays Cap on the big screen, is a die-hard Patriots fan, while Chris Pratt, who filled the role of Peter Quill/Star-Lord in the Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, is a native of Lake Stevens, Washington — and was pulling for the Seahawks.

The two had made a friendly and charitable wager about the game’s outcome — but now kids close to both superheroes’ hearts will win.

Evans will collect on his prize: Pratt, wearing Patriots gear, will visit Christopher’s Haven, a nonprofit organization that provides supportive housing for families whose children are receiving outpatient pediatric cancer treatments in Boston.

However, via Twitter, the pair — who watched the game together along with Pratt’s wife Anna Faris — now say Evans will hold up his end of the bet and visit the kids at Seattle Children’s hospital suited up as Captain America.

“Thank you to @prattprattpratt for being a good sport,” Evans tweeted after the game. “I’ll be there with you at @chris_haven, and don’t worry @seattlechildren, we’ll be coming there too!”
