2014 Emmy Nominations

Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly announced the 2014 Primetime Emmy nominations this morning, and HBO shows got the most love. Game of Thrones nabbed 19 nominations with multiple nods for True Detective and Veep as well. 

Some of the surprising nominees or lack of include Silicon Valley nabbing a spot in the Outstanding Comedy Series race while Golden Globe winner Brooklyn Nine-Nine was left out. Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany also did not make the cut in the acting category for her work playing multiple characters on the BBC America series. 

The awards will be given out on August 25th on NBC.
The show will be hosted by Seth Meyers.
